- Air bridge from Nairobi to Juba & Rumbek
Fastrak Logistics has formed a consortium of companies to operate a weekly air cargo service
from Nairobi, calling Entebbe International airport, bound to Juba and Rumbek in South Sudan.
Roger Dainty says: “while these two destinations are regularly called every week by our 15
tons carrier Antonov 12, we also deliver large consignments on induction basis to most air
strips in South Sudan”.

The versatility of the AN12 allows loading of large range of heavy or bulky items, using the 2
overhead cranes of the aircraft rear cargo door to load and unload cargo by its crew, without
requiring any ground assistance.

This system is specifically useful when delivering cargo in remote locations, while in Nairobi,
Entebbe, Juba and Rumbek, Fastrak Logistics have their own set up, office and operations that
attend the plane ground cargo handling.
Whilst the consignments area consolidated from Fastrak Logistics overseas branches into Nairobi
and Entebbe International Airports, the usage of the AN12 is optimized by delivering urgent
heavy consignments to the Mining Industry (such as Geita Gold mine and Mwanza), thus creating
a veritable air bridge from Nairobi to the Northern Tanzanian region.
“This truly East African air-freight venture Fastrak Logistics has created and implemented
successfully for 14 months, is imposing by the flexibility of its services and the
adaptability of its carrier”
Roger Dainty (Fastrak Logistics – Managing Director)
From international booking requests, air-freight cargo rates that include consolidation and
ground handing at origins and destinations, to operating the most successfully air freight cargo
venture in East Africa, Fastrak Logistics not only positions itself in pioneering the supply lines to
the South Sudan market, but indisputably leads the innovating air freight industry in East Africa.
